Privacy

Short version

You can opt-in to newsletters, add comments, and participate in giveaways, etc., by entering your name and email on my site. I don’t do evil shit with it and I don’t send out spam. That’s just gross. I will never sell your email address to a third party. I wouldn’t even know how to do that and I seriously don’t have time to learn. Jeez!

I use Google Analytics and Jetpack statistics to see who’s coming around. I use the information gathered to make my blog better, so it appeals to sponsors, advertisers, partners, etc. Sometimes there are advertisements on this site that probably use the same kind of creeper retargeting you’ll find on Facebook, etc. I make like $0.13/month on it and I have no idea how it works. It’s magic, basically. That’s really the extent of my savvy. Promise.

Disclosure

Short version

I sometimes write reviews for books I’ve gotten for free from authors and publishers. I note that in the reviews. Likewise, I may include affiliate links to books and products I’ve reviewed.

Receiving compensation doesn’t mean I don’t give an honest opinion about the books or products, and I will always disclose affiliate links. I’m a pretty honest person and I dislike a lot more things than I like. Trust me, no one’s getting rich here and it’s not my intent to swindle you into buying terrible crap!

Longer/legealise version

This blog is a personal blog written and edited by Melissa Hill + guest contributors maybe if I like them a lot. And I mean a lot. This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation. If you’d like to send me cash, that’d be cool!

The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space or post will always be identified as paid or sponsored content.

I may be compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. Even though I receive compensation for my posts or advertisements, I always give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.

ADDENDUM: As of August 2016, I am an employee at Kaye Publicity. I do not review books written or published by the clients at Kaye Publicity (even though they’re awesome books).
